- 2014 Corte Fusia Orfano ‘Terre Rosse’ Brut Nature (Franciacorta): An exquisite showing, submitting its proof that Franciacorta is the bubbly region to beat right now. $NA A-
- 2021 La Porta di Vertine (Chianti Classico): Earthy, dark, tangy, and especially rich by CC standards. $NA B+
- 2019 Anne & Jean Francois Ganevat “Madelon” Rouge (France): Rarely are they this funky and yet still this damned good. $60 A-
- 2022 Aviana Cabernet Sauvignon (France): It’ll do the job when you want a simple red, but this one doesn’t fully live up to its potential or its artsy label. $18 B-
- 2022 Quinta da Fonte Souto Branco (Alentejo): A tropical, fragrant, perfumed vintage makes this one just as reliable as ever. $27 A-
- NV Racines Grand Reserve Sparkling Chardonnay (Sta Rita Hills): Laser-focused citrus aimed right at your tongue and your heart strings. $80 A-
- 2010 Irwin Family Vineyards Piedra Roja Block 22 Tempranillo (Sierra Foothills): Wow… this dynamo is still giving off Reserva Rioja vibes! $35 A-
- 2021 Merry Edwards Meredith Estate Pinot Noir (Russian River Valley): Immediately awesome but also sporting everything it needs for years of graceful aging. A powerhouse. $90 A
- 2021 Del Dotto Vineyards Caves Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley): A thoroughly thick, rich, hedonistic delight. Guilty pleasure for sure. $95 A-
- 2022 Kelley Fox Wines ‘Nerthus’ (Willamette Valley): Orange you glad that there are textured, refined orange wines like this one out there? $30 A-
