We kick off the second half of my Tokaj Furmint adventures this week with a visit to Basilicus Winery, an interesting endeavor that I think qualifies as an “urban” winery in Tokaj terms.
They compliment their tiny production of high-quality Furmint with services that include gastronomy tours and oenophile-centric events, encompassing local vinegar and food as well as wine.
I had a particularly fun time touring their source vineyards (and pretending to make wine barrels), as you’ll see in a few moments.
Cheers!
These short videos about dry Tokaji Furmint are pretty cool Joe Roberts; I think you’ve found the right mix between being edu-taining enough while keeping it cool and relevant.
I have one bottle of Royal Tokaji Dry Furmint 2012 and hopefully one more on the way soon. It promises to be a happening summer!
The name is Solomon, sorry about getting the info for the boxes mixed up!
Thanks, Solomon!
