Wow – I feel like I’ve arrived!
This week, 1WineDude is featured on Tom Wark’s long-standing and excellent wine blog Fermentation. This mention is extra-special for me, because I’ve really enjoyed Tom’s Bloggerviews series and have often been turned on to new and interesting writers that Tom has featured.
To me, when Tom features a blogger on Bloggerviews, it usually means that they’ve really hit their stride as a writer. I don’t know if I quite qualify as hitting my stride, but I’m certainly honored to have been included in the great company of wine bloggers that he’s featured. I think that Tom’s prescription for eyeglasses may need renewal, however, since he mentions in the feature that I’m a good-looking guy… clearly his glasses require work (or at the very least, need a good cleaning). Anyway, check out Tom’s post here:

Tom begins his feature with the words “Here’s what I think about Joe Roberts…” Well, I need to tell you all what I think about Tom Wark.
Tom deserves a medal for the work that he has done, sometimes behind the scenes and outside of the public eye, as Executive Director of the Specialty Wine Retailers Association, with a mission to further the fight for a free market for wine in the United States. To put it simply, if you are able to have wine shipped to your home directly then you probably owe a small debt to Tom and the SWRA for helping fight to maintain that right for you. If you can’t yet have wine shipped directly to you legally, then Tom is the person you want on your side in the battle to get there. Keep fighting the good fight, Tom!
You can follow the SWRA’s Wine Without Borders blog here.
Cheers!
